Open carry in New York state?

I'm 18 years old and I've heard from 2 different people that you can openly carry a rifle in New York state law legally. Is that true, does it matter if its fully loaded or not and if it isn't legal can I atleast keep a AK-47 in my home?

Not true, and an AK47 in NY State would not be legal.
