= (357 pm)³
= (357 × 10⁻¹⁰ cm)³
= 4.550 × 10⁻²³ cm³

6.022 × 10²³ (1 mole) carbon atoms has a mass of 12.01 g.
Mass of a unit cell (8 carbon atoms)
= [(12.01 g / mol) / (6.022 × 10²³ atoms/mol)] × (8 atoms)
= 1.595 × 10⁻²² g

Density of diamond
= Mass / Volume
= (1.595 × 10⁻²² g) / (4.550 × 10⁻²³ cm³)
= 3.51 g/cm³
