why do people dislike Lebron James?

He throws tantrums, Coach Blatt got fired because of LeBron, LeBron wanted Pat Riley to fire Coach Spoelstra too, also, he's not that great.

Look at how players do with, and without LeBron, LeBron depresses others, his success is at the expense of other players, which is why he's 2-4 in Finals, which would have been 1-5 if Ray Allen didn't hit the circus-shot.

Basically LeBron is a great role-player, probably the best role-player ever, but to suggest he's a Superstar is wrong, LeBron doesn't make the difference when it counts, he literally holds 2 of the Top 3 worst-dropoffs in NBA Finals.

He's been overhyped and underperforming his whole career. Face it, without the hype he's a poor man's Scottie Pippen

He's not satisfied with David Blatt so he asked Cavaliers Management to fire him. In he's first year with Miami he asked Pat Riley to fire Eric Spoelstra but it was no good.

Flops so much, gets almost every call and when he doesn't he cries like a baby, he is a sore loser(look when golden state won championship, he dipped out the building) he has to max out his team to go to the finals just to lose. I can keep going on

Much of it has to do with the way he left the Cavs to go to the Heat in 2010, and while I can understand why people did not like it, many talk like they were forced to watch it, when they in fact choose to watch it, and his comment about winning not one, NBA title not two, not three,not four not five....really turned people off, and while it was bad, it's not like no one else ever said something that was over the top.

Many people lost a lot of respect for LeBron when he decided to leave Cleveland to Miami in 2010 to earn 2 rings. Also people like to criticize him for flopping, choking games and being overconfident but I think LeBron is arguably the greatest physical specimen since Shaq to dominate in the NBA. I mean players like him do not grow from trees. The ability to dominate the fast break, pass like a point guard and defend nearly all 5 positions at a very proficient level. Of course is jumper is no where near Currys or even Durants but he still is one of the best players in the NBA and a sure fire top 5 player when he retires. To be honest the NBA was more entertaining when he was considered a "villain" as a member of the Miami Heat!

I saw a Samsung commercial when James was with the Heat, and it humanized him a lot... so that made me a bit of a fan.

Haven't seen that with anyone else, but that just might be coincidence. This was right when the Samsung smartwatch came out.
