Help me with this chemistry question?
What is the oxide of a white powder that is insoluble in water but reacts readily to warm aqueous sodium hyroxife and warm dilute hydrochloric acid?? Thanks!!

The white powder is aluminum hydroxide or zinc hydroxide.
Both aluminium hydroxide and zinc hydroxide are insoluble in water.
Both aluminium hydroxide and zinc hydroxide can react with warm aqueous sodium hydroxide.
Al(OH)₃ + NaOH(aq) →Na[Al(OH)₄](aq)
Zn(OH)₂(l) + 2NaOH(aq) → Na₂[Zn(OH)₄](aq)
Both aluminium hydroxide and zinc hydroxide can react with warm aqueous hydrochloric acid.
Al(OH)₃(s) + 3HCl(aq) → AlCl₃(aq) + 3H₂O(l)
Zn(OH)₂(s) + 2HCl(aq) → ZnCl₂(aq) + 2H₂O(l)
