The equation of the complete combustion of methane :
CH₄(g) + 2O₂(g) → CO₂(g) + 2H₂O(g)
According to the above equation, under constant temperature and pressure, the complete combustion of 1 volume of CH₄ would produce 2 volume of H₂O vapor.
Volume of CH₄ undergoes complete combustion = 10.5 L
Volume of H₂O vapor produced = 10.5 × 2 L = 21.0 L
