Complete and balance the equation for the reaction that occurs when HBr(Aq) and KOH(aq) are mixed.?

When doing this, am I doing a single/double replacement?

My answer I got was: HBr +KOH -> BrOH+KH

I'm not sure if that is correct or not.

HBr is an acid which KOH is an alkali. This is an acid-alkaline neutralization reaction.

General equation of acid-alkali neutralization reaction :
acid + alkali → salt + water

The equation is thus :
HBr(aq) + KOH(aq) → KBr(aq) + H₂O(l)

This is a double replacement reaction

You did it wrong..in your answer BrOH would have 2 negative ions and KH is 2 positive ions and no such compounds exist

HBr + KOH -> HOH + KBr

Note: HOH is the same as H2O so..

HBr + KOH -> H2O + KBr
