All types of chocolate are dangerous to cats. Hopefully, as your cat only had a small amount, by now you would be seeing the results, such as diarrhea, raised temperature and a fast heartbeat. If your cat shows any signs of these, then you must rush him to the vet, but as it's only a small amount and hopefully your cat is full grown, he might just get away with it, but might get diarrhea. Hopefully, he will be OK but keep a lookout for any of the above reactions.

Chocolate can be toxic to cats and dogs. Depends more on the amount and type - darker the chocolate that more toxic. If your cat seems fine its probably ok. In the future do NOT let your cat eat any chocolate to be safe.

Chocolate and sugars are dangerous for cats and dogs.If I was you ,I would take him to the veterinary for a check up.However, do not let him eat chocolate anymore.

Your cat will be ok. If it was a dog then it would not have been good. However, don't let your cat eat chocolate at all.

I know chocolate, especially dark, will kill dogs if they eat it, not sure about cats though. Watch it to make sure he or she does not throw up or act odd. If so take it too the vet and tell them what happened.

If they were very smal, no. But it depends on what type of chocolat itwas. Dark chocolate=Very bad for cats.Milk chocolate = not very bad but it`s not something they should be eating. White chocolate= harmless.

It may have a tummy ache but it would take 1-2 blocks to have bad effects.

Your cat is fine. Dogs will die because I fed mine some chocolate and he died.

You really shouldn't feed cats chocolate. It is very bad for them.
2016-05-06 9:09 am
They might make it sick.
2016-05-06 3:44 am
Why are you feeding the cat chocolate?
2016-05-06 1:36 am
My grandpa is a vet and when my cat had chocolate he told me if if was not real chocolate(dark) and it won't kill them it might make them sick

If your cat is heavy it'll be fine, if he is small you may want to call a vet.
2016-05-09 6:04 am
No. But don't let him eat any more.
2016-05-09 2:53 am
That's bad.

You should call the animal doctor as soon as possible

This is why some things are toxic to them. While a cat can tolerate small amounts of aspirin, NEVER give a cat Tylenol. And, while they generally don't do well with morphine, a veterinarian will sometimes prescribe butorphanol (Torbugesic) for pain. Remember, if the cat sees YOU eating something, it may very well want some. If I was you ,I would take him to the veterinary for a check up.However, do not let him eat chocolate anymore.

You need to go to the vet.

Once my dog ate an entire package of chocolate powder to make hot cocoa, but she's okay. As long as your cat pukes or poops it out then she should be okay too. If she starts acting very sick then take her to the vet. Try to avoid giving her access to chocolate to avoid problems in the future. I hope all goes well :) <3

Eventhough the chocolate is as smallas a grain of rice?
2016-05-06 2:36 pm
Considering that cats are mammals, their enzymes are very different from the "norm." This is why some things are toxic to them. (Mine likes spaghetti and Cheerios.) In addition, cats are great opportunists. Watch them closely.
