If I am a nuclear engineer for the navy. How long would I be away, and how often would I come home?

'home' is your duty station.your options are Carriers, Subs and Instructor duty in Charleston. carriers deploy for up to 9 months at a time, subs do so on weird schedules(90 days out 90 days home, or 8 months submerged.
