It isn't a universal norm, it a cultural feature.

A society that does not favor honor cannot survive long enough to be of any use.

Bahahaha! We can't even seem to come up with a universal SPELLING of honor.

Honor (or honour) is only universal among honorable people.

Everyone has to be the same person.

It depends. Do you think that it is difficult to presume like this.

I don't know how you got confused. You should never unsettle your mind and get deliberately confused.

Philosophically speaking, even if the whole world misunderstand you, nothing is lost. You are what you are. The situation can change in any form, which we cannot anticipate.

honor is a form of respect and esteem. yes honor is a universal norm for a society to have.

honor is a very important part of a social structure. in order for a society to be advanced enough to even have a norm they must already have honor.

if you have honor you have a respectable positive reputation. even in animal packs and social structures this trait can be observed. a wolf will respect its peer as bigger and stronger and thus honor them. its needed to hold a society together.

the only instance where this trait isn't needed in humans is if its one isolated human in which case there would be no norm because its one person.
