On a google chrome extension it says it can "read and change all data on websites you visit"?

Is it anything to worry about. Can they look at your passwords and what you've been searching for etc

I wanted to get adblocker because i get alot of pop ups and i don't want to get any viruses. Is adblocker safe to uninstall?

they only change the HTML of the webpage not what is sent. passwords and usernames are generally stored in special streams that use PHP so it would not be changed
