Is it normal to be disciplined by a wooden spoon?

My grandma hits me with a wooden spoon every time I don't do something right. Yesterday I accidentally peed all over the toilet seat and she smoked me with a wooden spoon. I have many bruises all over my face from the wooden spoon. When I go to school people make fun of me for having bruises all over my face.

Maybe the bruises will distract from all the farting you do in class. Or you could tell them you ate moist cat food, that should distract from both.

If you showed up at school with the bruises you claim your grandparent would be in custody for child abuse. Since you appear to be a troll then such beatings are required on a regular basis.

I got smacked a few times by the all mighty wooden spoon as a kid and I damn well deserved it. It didn't do me any harm and has never done any child any harm to get smacked when they need ot be nor is it illegal ot smack your kid when they need it

Yes. Be glad it isn't a whip made of titanium or enriched uranium. That's what my grandpa used to hit me with.

Getting spanked with a wooden spoon is very old school and was common back in the day when no one thought spanking was child abuse. My mom didn't have one, so used a ruler instead. What is not normal is using a wooden spoon to be hit in the face.

She seems very old-fashioned. How old are you? Do you live with her, or your parents? Speak to your school principal. And tell him you don't want her to know that you told on her, if she asks, just say that someone must have reported the bruises.

It is not normal from a parent, neither from a grandparent. But I think it's kinda more okay with your grandma's generation so have someone around her age talk to her. If there isn't, then your parents or someone from their generation should be enough.

If you have bruises it is most definitley illegal and I would talk to a school official about it.

No it's not normal. Maybe in the past spanking/physical discipline was considered okay for a child, but by today culture/society it's abuse. You should tell your parents or someone
