Would you consider someone a year younger than you to be basically the same age, slightly different, or completely different?

My long term boyfriend is nearly 5 years younger than me - it makes no difference as long as both are over 18

I think the same. My gf is 23 and I am 28, but we don't even think about the age difference at all. It was never an issue for us.
