The Star Wars books.? Who wrote the books and how many books are thier?

The first, obviously, was written by George Lucas. The rest were done by hundreds of authors over decades. A full list has, to by knowledge, appeared only recently as a Time Line that is presently published in new editions and in reprints. It shows where the books are in terms of the 7 movies - but I have noted the time line is by no means complete, as it does not mention books published by certain authors. I would have to say that books based upon the Star Wars premise number over 1,000.
