How does everyone feel about Male Circumcision? Genital Mutilation?

I have a scar on my genitals from a doctor who took a piece of me off when I was young. Why is this a good thing? I know it's cleaner, but if it weren't needed, why do we have it?

If you bring up the "wisdom tooth" argument , we can shed those. This isn't a conscious choice of ours.

There is no "good thing" about circumcision.
No it is NOT cleaner.
It is purely a religious idea, like not eating pork,
or dunking babies in a font makes them clean
of Sin.

Yes of course it is MGM.

It is a barbaric act that the medical field disguised as "hygiene issues" due to religious pressure from the Jewish people in the 40s and 50s. In Europe during WWII jews were of course rounded up and killed but the suspected jewish males were made to drop their pants on the street to determine if they were "cut" since no one else at the time was.. Many jewish doctors emigrated to the US and Canada, and suddenly circumcision became a "health" issue and was done to most infant males. Of course the side effect would be that no one could single out jewish males easily since nearly all guys were cut.

It is not cleaner to have only a partial penis. That is a last grasp to try to avoid people from noting the obvious -- it is a wounding of a baby and harms the man the baby will become.

The cleaner BS is actually a primitive view. There is bacteria all over us and we all NEED it. It is actually not cleaner to have a cut up penis. It has now also been observed that natural boys have about the same bacteria as natural girls and that cut boys have different (invasive) bacteria (such as Staph A). A changed microbiome is BAD.

EVERY HUMAN (male and female) has the RIGHT (a human right) to reach adulthood with all of the tissue (particularly all of their erogenous tissue) that THEIR genetic code provides.

i feel that's a decision that should be left up to the individual

It is cleaner. However, in a modern advanced society that becomes moot. It is practical in medieval or backwards places where there is no regular access to clean water for bathing.

Some get it for religious reasons as it marks them out as different and helps prevent assimilation.

It was common in the US due to puritanical views as it was to discourage masturbation!

Personally i feel they do look better circumised, however i don't think it is a good idea to lop off some of the sensitive parts of the penis.
