Are the majority of heterosexuals really homophobic?

Everytime I go in this section, I see a lot of heterosexuals talking badly and insulting homosexuals. Are the majority of heterosexuals really this homophobic, or are all/most of these just trolls? I'm not heterophobic, by the way, so please don't assume so. I just don't understand why people care about how others act in the bedroom if it doesn't at all effect them, and it makes me wonder if there are really that many homophobes.

Nah this place doesn't account for every straight person. If the majority of heterosexuals were homophobic, err we'd probably be dead. I think there's a dude here who says he's gay and hates other gay people. O_o

The majority aren't; there are a very few on here who are extremely vocal in their homophobia, but one's a DOCTOR, so it's OK... (heh heh - big eye roll)

Not at all, there are a lot of false accusations on here of homophobia and transphobia and I've often been left scratching my head when I've been accused of this.
Sometimes you can't even fart without being accused of this online and in real life, racism too, I did retail security guarding and I over heard someone say I was following them around because they are black - in reality I wasn't and I had not even noticed them.
There are big chips on shoulders, paranoia, taking offence when there was none intended and picking up a tone that isn't there.
