Did you ever take on a challenge? Something that you knew nothing about but decided you wanted to learn?
I've recently decided to go to school for something that I have an interest in but don't really know anything about and I'm excited but there are people around me that think it's not safe. But isn't that the whole point of going to school? To learn something new? I want to progress and learn new things. I don't want to stay in the same place!!!

I took Visual Arts having never had taken any arts class for my secondary school diploma. It was challenging but refreshing. I think you should do it if you are confident that you can learn fast without struggling too much. When I was doing that course, I had struggled a lot and often felt insecure and stressed out because I didn't know the basic drawing skills and analytical skills that my peers had acquired already. The bottom line is, if that's something you really want to try and will retain the passion of, then you should totally go for it.
Whatever you are interested in you can learn with a few books - less expensive and you do your own schedule!
