why can women go without masturbation and sex?

Females do not usually have very much of the male sex hormone, testosterone, coursing through their bodies. Testosterone is one, powerful, sex hormone!

We do have estrogen and progesterone mainly - with a touch of testosterone. Some females have a higher level of testosterone than others. Everyone is different when it comes to their hormone levels, and yes girls masturbate and feel sexual... many of them not as sexual as men... and they just don't get it that guys are feeling sexual much of the time.

I have a bit of a high testosterone level for a woman and believe me, i know it.

I, personally, can go without masturbation, because I have very satisfying sex every other day and don't feel the need to masturbate. Now, if I didn't have a partner for sex, I'd probably masturbate. Every woman's sex drive is different. I don't think you can generalize by saying 'women' for all of us.

Trust me. The girls you know are masturbating. They are masturbating because they:

a. don't want to get pregnant;
b. haven't found a boyfriend yet they want to have sex with;
c. aren't attached/attracted enough to a boy they might be seeing

I agree with Robert X. I think it is still more socially acceptable for boys/men to admit that they masturbate. Along those lines, surveys have also shown that females also are more likely to lie about how many sexual partners they have had.

Well they don't. Its just not a topic you have apparently gotten into. Many women achieve orgasm thorough masturbation although they have sex because their partners don't finish the job.
