Why do you people prefer to buy an iPhone?

There are around a hundred phones which practically outpaces the iphone in performance, quality and features.... For example,s7 has a load of features....it's also good...the hardware is awesome...it costs some $600...also, the storage is expandable...but an iphone 6s+,what is soo good in it?the price is somewhat expensive... No features, specs are low...build quality is also rivaled by many other phones....also if people say apple offers a good service, then i would point the same for samsung...what is soo good in ios than in Android? And finally... Would you buy an iPhone or a good android phone of a top brand with all properties rivalling that of an iphone at a lower price?...and if people would tell an iphone is a sign of 'class'...then it would be like comparing a lamborghini gallardo(i-phone) to a nissan skyline gtr(say s7)...and of course, the performance of the gtr is more than the gallardo.

You need to look up the actual technical specifications before spouting rubbish.

The number of phones that are technically equal or higher specification as far as CPU speed and GPU performance, compared to the iphone 6 / 6S, can be counted in low single digits.

And, as others have noted, very few makes that use Android actually bother to pass on firmware updates for more than a brief time.

Apple still fully support phones that are a good few years old.

I'm an electronics engineer and programmer by profession.
I own three iphones, two Sony Android phones (an E- and a Z-) and a Sony Android tablet.
The two older iphones and the android phone are used purely for testing apps and and software.

I prefer the Android tablet to an ipad.

I do not consider any Android phone to be sufficient quality and reliability to be used for something my business depends on for it's existence, due to frequently buggy firmware.
I do hold the iphones to that standard of reliability.

There should not be any fundamental problem with Android, but each phone manufacturer modifies it and messes with it to try and make their phones different. Android is a version of Linux and Linux, when not got-at, is one of the most stable systems in existence - but they mess it up...

I am not biassed - I chose purely on technical merit.

ps. And iphones hold their value - I could still sell the three year old iphone 5 for £250 ($375) - how many three year old Androids are still worth that? An S4 was the same price new but now goes for £100 or less.

Iphones are just alot better quality and alot better design. Its also the best security by far (you dont need to even run antivirus programs like all other phones have to do).
You also get stuff like imessage, facetime, airdrop, sapphire camera lens which can never scratch, A9 chip, call and text blocking built into the phone, slow motion video and burst mode pictures, Siri, etc. The Appstore also has way more professional type apps and better quality.

Brand recognition and brand appeal. Just like people buy Beats headphones (regardless of how bad they really are) or Bose speakers (again, no matter how overpriced they are for the performance they provide).

Truly smart, tech savvy people do not buy iPhones. Sheeple and "look at me, I am cool" people buy iPhones.

Because they are better

Many phone users don't want a ton of confusing features that they'll never use and don't like waiting months, if ever, for their phone manufacturer to upgrade their phones when a new version of Android comes out, when Apple users get the update on the same day it's announced.

No doubt that Apple and Samsung both make good phones but, for many people, it often comes down to a simple matter of choosing the one that appeals to the individual. Most phone buyers don't do a lot of research on quality, detailed features, specs, and such. So it becomes more like choosing between Ford versus Chevy, or Nikon versus Canon, or Wells Fargo versus Bank of America.

No there aren't. If you are another one of those people that just look at the on paper specs, & ignore the actual in practice performance, then you'd see why.

The hardware is a rehash of the iPhone 4/4s & 6/6 Plus. Only the front is Samsung.

For the record it costs $670, whereas the iPhone starts at $649 (before that the prices were equal)

Yes the storage is expandable but for media. Apps would require rooting in most cases.

As far as the iPhone, it has a fingerprint scanner (which Samsung copied poorly before but improved on now), build quality for those phone was lauded for years until they (again) copied Apple & made the Galaxy S6/7. A True Tone front flash (which Samsung copied) they use the same Sony sensors (so their cameras are equal or will be once the 7 comes out). Could go on, but the point should have been made by now.
