Week old septum piercing hurting on one side?

I got my septum done a week ago, apart from General tenderness it has been absolutely fine i have seen no reall discharge or had issues, i do sea salt soaks (which i do for 10 minutes 1-2 times a day as well as cleaning with a cotton bud). In the past few days the right side of the piercing is very sore compared to the left side which doesnt really hurt at all, it will only really hurt if i move the piercing (which i haveto as i got pierced with a retainer and if i dont move it, it will fall out, which it did in the week so i had to put it back in:/) the only other time i will move it is when i flip it up after doing a sea salt soak when there is no crust on it or anything. Is there anything i can do to help this or is it normal? (Also the right side is the side the needle went through when getting it pierced if that matters)

This is normal. I have a 3 month old septum and for me the left side always hurt but my left side didn't. You should try H20 ocean spray addition to your 10 minute soaks. It's just a sea salt spray that you spray in your piercing and for the most part it should help relieve some of the pain.
