Why haven't any of the presidents banned slaughterhouses? Can they even do that?

Where else would you turn cows into steaks?

I understand that we "need" the slaughterhouses. But, there's better ways to do what is going on in there. I think cruel, inhumane slaughterhouses should be banned. Slaughterhouses should be over 100 acres of outside land where the animals feel sun on their backs and grass on their feet and have relationships with other animals. There's no reason to have what's going inside today's slaughterhouses.
It is also very much possible. 100 acres is not black magic or rocket science. It may be hard to come by depending on a place that you live in, but it's possible. I live on 68 acres, and in Florida you can find those anywhere.

Because that would be THE single stupidest thing that a president could ever do. Slaughter houses are necessary to maintain the supply to meet the VERY high demand for mass produced meats. America belongs to the people, if the people do not want slaughterhouses then they will cease to exist, it is not right of any president to make that call.
