Are phones from secondhand shops okay?

I'm looking to purchase a pre used iPhone 5 or above from Cex, or any other secondhand gadget shop. I noticed that the prices were considerably low. Is it a good idea to purchase iPhones fro pre owned shops?

Hi in the case of CEX they do test the goods and if it doesn't work they will take it back.

Always remember the saying that 'you get what you pay for', so if something in the second hand shop seems cheap, there will be a very good reason. You can save money and get a good product by going second-hand, but remember the other well known legal advice.... caveat emptor, which means, 'let the buyer beware', because when you buy second hand stuff, you don't have the consumer protection you get when you buy new.

I'd say yes because they normally do checks to ensure that the phones work and are usually prett easy to return items to them

Get a stolen one off craigslist

Make sure its not icloud locked and that its not a bad esn. I wouldnt trust any unknown online site for stuff like that, to easy to get scammed. In that case stick with ebay or craigslist and view in person.
