Liking Instagram picture when internet is not stable?

What happens when I liked a picture on Instagram, but the Internet was unstable, so the heart automatically disappeared. Then I like it again and it disappear once again. And then when the Internet was good, I liked it again. Does the person recieve notifications three times?

No, the like has to go trough a server first. If the server does not know, the notification cant be send either. So it will only show up once
