Our kitchen smells like animal crap but I can t pin point the smell, anyone know what I should do?

May be a dead animal in the walls or under an appliance? How about the drain pan under the refrigerator? Or some spoiled food in the refrigerator. Do you store onions/potatoes.......maybe one has rotted. Don't discount the drains. Pour a box of baking soda into the drain and then add vinegar....a cup to cups and let it foam. Rinse with boiling hot water.

I have two bath rooms but one never gets used...when the water in the P-trap dries up the sewer smell comes thru the drain...all I do is turn on water to fill P-trap and the smell goes away...Also if you have a sink disposal there may be food stuck to walls and rotting...run some ice thru it...

1. Check your garbage pail for any rancid food trapped in the bottom that might have leaked through the liner.

2. Do you keep potatoes or onions out (not in refrigerator) in the bag? You might have a rotten potato in the bag that is stinking up your kitchen.

3. Rancid water in your refrigerator drip pan.

4.Rancid meat juice spilled somewhere you didn't see and wipe.

5. Check under your sink and see if your P-trap is leaking.

Maybe you have a dead mouse somewhere around the kitchen. Or do you have a garbage disposal?

Ahh..clean??

Try pouring bleach and hot water down the drain.

Is there a stronger smell in any particular areas?
