Main clause:-I don't know
Subordinate clause (as complement):-what you are saying.
"what you are saying" is a noun clause not complete in meaning when it stands alone. It is dependent on the main clause. It is called a subordinate clause.
Interrogative means asking, inquiring, questioning;
eg:-What are you saying ?

I don't know what you are saying.

I don't know the thing that you are saying. 這樣寫時,that you are saying就是當作修飾語的「形容詞子句」了,修飾先行詞thing。本句的the thing that 可用what來代替,但句子的結構不同。
