what是「帶先行詞的關係代名詞」，用來帶出一個「名詞子句」當作動詞know的受詞。因為不是「直接問句」，所以不能使用直接問句的「倒裝」句構，把助動詞are移到主詞you之前。在文法上稱此為「間接問句」，結構同一般句序：主詞＋助動詞＋主要動詞。
