Why don't people respect tattoo artists?

Have you seen some of the work they do?! Search 'good tattoos' in Google images or something. Yes, there can be bad ones but the good ones are truly talented. Tattooing is harder than real life art, I know from experience. I understand if you don't respect art, then you won't respect tattoos. Even if tattoos aren't your thing, surely you can respect the skill of the good ones?

tattoo artists are amazing, I really wish I was artistic, I'd love to be a tattoo artist

Because unfortunately, a lot of members of society still think tattoos and everything and everyone associated with them is trashy and awful.
