I m living in France going through a divorce. We have debts we are paying on together if I leave the country will my ex get in trouble?
Will the debts fall on her? I wish to move back to the States but I don t wish for my ex to get in trouble for debts we acquired when we was married. I still plan on helping pay off said debt but gotta find a job first. Please provide hard proof no consequences will arise for my ex. Thx

where you were married is the place where you should get divorced. Get an attorney to do that for you if you have any assets of value between you and your spouse. If you don't determine who gets what and who pays for what on your own then tell your attorney what you own between the two of you and the judge will make the decision of who pays for what.
Of course they will chase her for the money. That is common sense.
Well, I'll tell you something you can take to the bank, Skippy.
If YOU don't stiff her, and you send money to her to help pay your part of the debts, and keep your contact information updated with the creditors, no consequences will arise for your ex.
If you flee the country and purposefully try to avoid paying what you owe, not only CAN it fall to your ex, it probably WILL.
