Will I put on more weight than I have already if I have a low thyroid?

I don't know for sure if i have a low thyroid but I have all the symptoms of one including slight weight gain. I just have a bit of a tummy at the moment, even though I exercise and eat relatively healthily, I have like maybe two chocolate biscuits a day as a snack or something but that's about it. Do you think I'll put on more weight than I already have? I've been the same weight for about 3 years I haven't seen much change to be honest

If nothing is being done differently, and nothing has changed so far, then it isn't likely that your weight will change much now. If your thyroid function is low, it didn't happen overnight, it's been happening for a while - and hasn't caused extra weight gain so far.

Weight gain isn't a reliable symptom for your thyroid. If you think there really is an issue, talk to your doctor, a simple blood test will tell the story.

By "low thyroid" i'm guessing you mean under-active thyroid, meaning that your metabolism is quite slowing so you burn less calories throughout the day. If your not happy with your weight, change it! Light exercise and a good diet will work well to maintain your weight. Moderate exercise and healthy diet will lose a little weight at a steady pace.
