Mac and Tosh are resting on top of the water near the end of the pool when Mac creates a surface wave. The wave travels the length of the pool and back in 54.9 seconds. The pool is 33 meters long. Determine the speed of the wave in m/s.

I also need to round to 4 sig figs, please some one help me

It's good that in 8th grade science the subject matter includes such basic problems as this, and includes significant figures. But measurement science has definite rules about significant figures which are violated by having THIS answer be given to FOUR sig figs.

The basic rule for problems using measured values is that the ANSWER can not be more significant (i.e. have more significant figures) than the LEAST significant data. In THIS problem the least significant data is the pool length of TWO significant digits. [the time has THREE significant digits]. So by this given data, the answer should be ONLY TWO significant figures. To claim more sig figs than the data has is to FABRICATE significance that simply does not exist (due to the data).

Wave speed= frequency / wave length.

Wave speed = distance/time
V=d/t
V=33/54.9
V=0.6 m/s
