Why do some schools care more about uniform than education?

In the school I used to go to they said that is you dress smart, you'll act smart. This is completely untrue. Smart clothing does not make you behave any differently. It only makes you look like a good student. They forced us to wear the blazers. If you took it off inside, you'll get detention. They care more about uniform because of the people that come in to inspect how well the school is going. They think if the students have nice tidy, smart clothing the inspectors will think the students are well behaved.

Mostly because once boys get to a certain age they will tend to get spicier. Also they would want you to dress and learn to dress well as you grow! Plz answer mine if you can!

Cause kids these days like to wear more and more revealing clothing than you would see back in the 80's, you don't want to see a 14 year old girl walking around wearing this:
