Please help, Can I be fired or forced to quit?

I recently got this new job that's full time and pays more than my current job and the new job is from 12pm to 8pm mon to sat... but at the same time I don't want to quit my current transporter job at Hertz rental cause I really need the extra money.. My Current hertz job is only a part time job and the max hours is 25hrs a week and only allowed to work 5hrs a day .. I asked my manager if I can still work there but only work a few hours a day mon to Fri but he said no cause that's not good enough...

Yes, if the current manager wants you to work certain times and you will not or cannot, even if part-time, you could be terminated for that.If that manager is dead-set on this, you might look at other rental agencies to see if they will take you on at the hours you want. Your experience should help you get in just about anywhere in that business.

If you can't or won't work the hours they want you to, of course they can just replace you.

Your boss at Hertz does not have to accommodate your request for a reduction in hours. If you can't work the hours they need, they have every right to find someone who can.

You can be fired but you can't be forced to quit. Being forced to quit is the same as being fired.
