i would think no. just because you're doing something a hundred times doesn't mean you're burning a calorie per movement. if that were the case, why wouldn't everyone else be doing that already?

go join a gym if you want to get fit. there are affordable ones out there. the gym i go to - zipfitness - is $13 / month. avoid gyms that have a lot of amenities like pools, spas, day cares, smoothie bars, or others that cause the rate of the membership to go up. all my gym has is a ton of cardio and strength equipment, free weights, tanning booths, and locker rooms. my gym's not open 24 hours too like some other gyms, so they don't need to pay employees all the time, which keeps the cost of the membership down too.
