do they connect wall footing to a column footing? if yes, how?

Several of the wooden columns in my house sit on wooden pedestals (often attached to the adjacent baseboard) and are doweled and glued in place. A few are bolted into the floor and ceiling.

if its a pilaster column the footing would be continuos
for a stand alone column it will be a separate footing
