Stress and the immune system?

How long does it take for stress to cause an immunodeficiency and lead to autoimmune diseases in the body? Is 4 months of depression long enough to cause that?

1. stress CANT cause an autoimmune disease. only genetic issues can cause those
2. stress CAN cause a slightly lowered immune system (low enough to notice when tests are performed but in everyday life you would not notice)
