What would you like to to do? Big city stuff? Explore the scenery by car, by bike . Sleep in a tent or a big hotel.
Maybe travel in an RV. Outdoor sports? White water rafting. Hike to a hot springs or swimming hole in the mountains. A lake leisurely houseboat thing. A cruise up the coast of BC.
A winter ski vacation? By yourself? With a Friend? How Old? Summer concert in the mountains? A music festival.
What is your budget? How many days? How are you getting to Canada.? You need a Passport to fly?

Most use a passport when driving. You can use other things like a Passport Card or enhanced drivers license.

British Columbia is a great place to visit.

If you are a US citizen, you need a passport book if you are flying but a passport card or enhanced driver's licence works if you are arriving by land.

Unless you are coming for months, British Columbia will keep you busy. Personally, I like the Maritime Provinces but there are 3832 miles of road between Halifax and Vancouver.

I have been in every province, and territory.

It depends on what you like! Mountains, and wilderness, then Yukon, and BC. Wide open spaces: the Prairie provinces. History: Quebec. It is also the most European flavoured placed. Quebec City is much like a European city, with a wall, foreign language, and everything. The Maritimes are very welcoming to tourists, charming, and inexpensive to visit. The North is spectacular, and worth the trouble of getting there.

So, everywhere has good things to see!

Canada is a very large place, do you like beaches, or cities or mountains, or prairies?

Teri, you will here different recommendations regarding travel docs, I emphasise having a passport, that stops all arguments.

As far as recommending somewhere in Canada to visit, it's really up to you, I live in Montreal, but I liked British Columbia.

I am being sent to the Territories for a week, and I will be in the Yukon for two days, staying in Dawson City, then I am flying with Buffalo Air believe to some remote area.

Like to know what I did wrong to be sent way up north. The Yukon I have been wanting to see for a long time, but, for me two days won't cut it. May try and pull a few sick days in the Yukon on the way back.....lol

I suggest Prince Edward Island or Nova Scotia!! They are both great places to visit in the summer months. PEI has beautiful soil, farmland, and also has many, many tourist attractions (ranging from gorgeous beaches to amusement parks, hiking, Anne of Green Gables spots, boat tours & seafood experiences). Nova Scotia has places like the Cabot Trail with great views, camping and hiking spots, and historical places like the Fortress of Louisbourg (which is AWESOME by the way, and a must see!!) which are both located in Cape Breton. There is also great beaches, trail rides or horseback riding lesson places, delicious seafood like lobster & crab, and many more things to do. NS also has Halifax which is a good city for shopping.

Look up some pictures and attractions in both Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. You wont be disappointed!!!

There is loads to see and explore in British Columbia, from the forests of Vancouver Island to cities like Vancouver to the Rocky Mountains. Other places include Alberta, urban parts of Ontario, Quebec and the maritime provinces.
