Rib Tattoo Prep Suggestions?

2016-03-22 10:30 pm
I'm starting a 3 session rib piece next month that is heavy in detail, I am thinking maybe like 3-5 hours per session. I have tattoos on my arm, across my chest, my full back and upper traps. I have heard a lot of things about rib tattoos, so I'm really just looking for pre-prep tips as its been a few years since my last tattoo. I'm boney at the rib too which should be fun. I figure I'd probably standing too.

I know to thicken my blood, never drink alcohol, water, or aspirin as it thins blood, but wouldn't mind tips on how to thicken it again (I think pork helps I've heard), maybe help some pain ease up, some ideas to keep my electrolytes up so I don't black out after losing blood and standing, or just general suggestions of whats worked for people. Worst case I suck it up, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks,

Mike

umm sorry but it sounds like youve never been tattooed before. who told you that stuff about pork and water? the thickness of your blood has nothing to do with pain, but more so with bleeding. and i do not understand what you mean by "I figure I'd probably standing too." hate to break it to you, but i have 5 hours worth of tattooing on both my sides, and you will be unable to stand during that. not only do you need to be laying on your side with both arms above your head so the artist can keep your skin taunt, but with how painful it you, your body will be clenched so tightly, that you wont be able to do anything but lay there . you can do things such as eat before and get a good night of sleep before so that youre more comfortable, but theres nothing that will make it hurt less
