im scared of getting my teeth extracted?

I've had almost 10 teeth removed between the ages of 5 and 11. It doesn't hurt at all! Just relax. They will begin by putting topical medication on to numb it. Then they will place a needle into the areas affected. Since they were numbed you don't feel the needle, and dentists are usually careful about hiding the needle from your sight. Your dentist will wait about 10 minutes then will simply pull the teeth. Next you'll bite on gauze for a few minutes and will be free to go home. It feels a little weird because your mouth is very numb, but doesn't hurt. I found it helped to get a milkshake or eat some ice cream and take a little pain medication if needed. There is absolutely nothing to worry about, it's one of the least painful dental procedures

I had mine done while awake. It was horrible. Make them knock you out.

You have heard so many stories about it becouse it happens so often. If you don't have it done when it is recommended to have it done, it will be that much worse down the line. I had to have my two bottom wisdom teeth literally ground out of my lower jaw bone. If doc says you need it done, do it.

All things considered it's not that bad. Your dental surgeon will numb the area thoroughly and prescribe pain pills for later. Relax and accept it.

If the dentist knows his business you won't feel much at all. Even the pain shots into your gums don't really hurt. If you start to feel some pressure tell the dentist and he'll give you another shot. Then he'll send you home with a prescription for pain pills. You'll be fine.

You should be perfectly fine. I have had 12 teeth pulled in total and I am still alive. In fact, they numb your gums so you won't feel a thing. That is honestly the worst part of the whole situation. Good luck, you'll be fine!
