Can you get food poisoning from any hostess cream filled cakes??? My friend says yeah but only if they are expired?

since there is no expiration date on hostess cakes i guess not...lol
yes you can get food poisoning if the cakes were contaminated with food born illness bacteria. Old cake doesn't spoil because of the high sugar content which inhibits bacterial growth. It would have to be contaminated with it.

You can get food poisoning from any food, but I highly doubt that you would get food poisoning from baked goods because they are cooked. Even expired products may be dry, but usually it is only if they mold that causes a problem. And from personal experience, I have forgotten I have had some hostess twinkies before, several months after the sell by date, and they were still mold free and edible, albeit somewhat dry.

Yes you can, they are cream filled after all. They can last for months on the shelf because of all the sugar and preservatives in them however.

But yes, eventually they go bad and you can get sick.
