Will I be put under during my surgery?

Im getting surgery on my testicles to attach them to the scrotum wall cause ive been getting intermittent testicular torsion and my doctor doesnt want to risk getting the actual torsion to stay. My friend got surgery on his knee and the doctor said he was about to almost not put him under even though his surgery was 2 hours long. My doctor says my surgery will take 45 mintues and i dont want to be awake during it.... will i be put under and given anesthesia.

You will most definitely be given an anaesthetic so you will feel nothing during the surgery.

Since the procedure will take less than an hour you will probably be offered a injected local anaesthetic as it will upset your system much less and require no hospital stay afterwards. However, if you really want to be put out fully then you need to let the doctor know well in advances he will need to book a fully operating room and an anaesthetist for the operation.

Something you'd have to ask your doctor about. Not uncommon for minor surgery for the doc to just give an injection of general anesthesia and put the patient under while the surgery is performed.
