Hey guys, im a 19 year old australian boy, and i really want to work overseas and travel, preferably starting off in Texas, Austin, as i actually have a genuine interest in the city and my girlfriend lives 1 hour from there. I looked at bartending jobs and they are vastly different to what you see here in Australia. I mean you can work at some very exciting places in Australia and bar tending just about tops it off. Im just curious as to how i can search for or inquire about young, exciting little jobs that will pay my rent and allow me some small pennies to travel around the city a bit. I mean, ive tried but all i see is indeed.com where there just seems to be legitimate, salary jobs available. no part time.

Keep in mind that i dont want to do JUST bartending, ill do literally anything, just as long as its kinda fun, outdoorsy and suits a 19 year old kid looking to venture. Thank you so much for your help

work visas are hands out for jobs that are HARD to fill by US citizens. anybody can bartend. no one will grant a work visa for part time work. and the company mist prove they cannot fill the job by a local.

at 19 you Preallyhave nothing to offer.

your best bet is to get hired locally by an international chain( hotels, etc) and then seek an assignment at one of their US locations later.
