Why Am I Baffled By The Question, What Did You Learn From Reading That Book?

A friend of mine asks me what I learned from reading a specific book like Plato s or Nietzsche s book in Philosophy and I kind of scratch my head. Obviously I learn stuff but it s not a question I ask myself after I read a book like that so I wouldn t know how to answer it. How do you answer a question like that?
