I'm trying to install a window air conditioner. I have the LW1515ER unit. I'm stuck on getting the cabinet attached to the window sill.?
The reason is because I'm suppose to attach the sill bracket to the window sill on the outside. We have brick and the screws are for wood. I tried using concrete nails but they keep bending and I have a feeling the brick would just crumble the deeper I go. I'm stuck about what to do. I called the company I bought it from and they said they have no instructions for mounting to a brick exterior. Any ideas? This is on the ground floor and the window is maybe 2 and a half feet off the ground. If I find something to set the air conditioner on...would the be secure? Thanks in advance for any tips.

They make masonry drill bits and lead fittings to screw into. They also make brackets that hold the A/C unit up with a bracket that levers the A/C braced on the bricks. You can also build a 2x4(treated wood) platform to support the A/C unit. Set it on stepping stones to keep it off the soil/dirt.
I have attached the manual for the model you list. It does NOT involve attaching to ANYTHING other than the window frame itself. Your window frame IS NOT brick. LG doesn't have instructions for mounting to brick because it is IMPOSSIBLE for that to be necessary.
