uk passport renewal question?

I want to renew my passport, that expired 3 years ago, but would have difficulty finding someone from the list of acceptable professions to sign my application/photos. If I am still recognisable from my old passport's phot, can I avoid having to do this.

Complete the form and do the checking thing at the Post Office before you submit - they'll advise whether this is going to be an issue or not, then you can go and get it signed if necessary.

You will have to find one, it you don't it will be returned until you do
