The place of aboriginal religion in contemporary Australian society?

The are referred to as 'fauna'. Says quite a lot does it not.

Secular archaeology states that the Australian aborigine has been here [ Australia] for 40,000 years.
The scriptures state that mankind since Adam has been here only 8,000 years.
Genesis ch. 5 [ do a time/line chart on the ages stated]
And in all that supposed long time, how come they never learned to build any sort of house.?
