I don't care much for Raider as a boy's first name. Just my opinion, has a lot of negative connotations to it. I think there are a lot of nicer and equally interesting / different names to choose from.
I think Raider sounds like a trendy, made up name. I am truly sorry if this offends you but that is my honest, unbiased opinion and there are others who will feel this way too. Were it me I wouldn't do that to my son.
Nathaniel is an old name, in use in English for hundreds of years. Raider might be ok for a film such as Star Wars, but for a "normal" boy it would seem strange indeed.

Synonymous for the word raider include marauder, thief, burglar, pillager, housebreaker, plunderer and looter. It's a dreadful name. Nathaniel is quite handsome. Ranger Nathaniel seems far more admirable than Raider Nathaniel. Other alternative first names include: Reynard, Ragnar, Radek, Rafe, Ravid, Rhys, Ross and Reed.
