Why don't you go to school with your brother?
You should go to school with your brother.

I don't like watching television.
I do not like watching television.

Don't you like watching television?
Do you like watching television?

don't =do not, We have do's and don'ts.Hence in oral conversation we've don't and is used in question form as interrogative adverb as "why."
eg:-Why don't you go to school with your brother ?

Why you go to school with your brother? a.not b.doesn t c.don t d.do not

a.not (X, 正規文法不通)

b.doesn't ( X, 後面的是you)

c.don't(O, 文意邏輯皆通)

d.do not(沒有錯但不順口)

*Why don't you go to school with your brother?
