They will not consider your high school GPA if you are a community college transfer student.

Why do you want to go to unversity out of state, when you have to pay triple the cost, and you could get the lottery scholarship if you stayed in New Mexico?

It may. If you are attempting to transfer from a CC to a very selective 4-year college or university, yes, the admissions officers WILL want to see your high school GPA. It's a myth that they won't.

If you're just trying to transfer to a state school with which your CC has an articulation agreement, you probably don't have to worry about your high school grades or your SAT/ACT scores.

But if the state school you want to attend is the flagship campus, you may need more than a mere CC associate's degree.

Discuss this with your college advisor.

My understanding is that it's of little or no importance, particularly if you're arrived with an AA and a community college transcript filled with good grades. At that point, what you had done in high school is of no consequence.
