Will I be able to drive a rental car under 25?

Someone reversed into my car and it needs to be in the shop for an additional few days. I am 19 years old and on my parents insurance, and we are getting a rental car today. I heard you have to be 21/25 or over to drive a rental car... will I need to use one of my parents cars to drive to campus/other activities or will I be permitted to drive the rental car given the circumstances? We are going through enterprise, by the way.

You cannot legally drive any rented vehicle unless you are a named driver on the rental agreement contract. Period. You will need to drive one of your parent's insured and registered vehicles.

There is no such thing as a law that says you must be a certain age to drive a rental vehicle. There is also no international rule used by Enterprise at all locations. They do business in seven countries, and you didn't say where you live.

The only law that matters, and it is a law in all seven countries, is the law that says you must have the owner's permission to drive their vehicle. And it's a serious law. If the owner says you can drive their vehicle, you can. If they don't, you can't.

Enterprise has different rules for each state, province and island-fortress in which they do business. You'll have to ask them, because an answer from anyone else is nothing but a guess.

No rental company will authorize you to drive their car. However, your parents could drive the rental car, and loan you one of their cars.
