temerity, insecurity, impurityI wanted to ask, should it rhyme? Because my first answer was going to be temerity (reckless disregard for danger) because that always hurts like hell, but then I would say either insecurity or impurity might be better. Insecurity is a torture all in itself, and impurity of mind or emotion can make a person drive themselves nuts wondering how they fix their own brain. Those are all some very tortured feelings, and would be universally expressive. Most people would understand that you're trying to convey a strong sense of grief because almost all of us can relate to the latter two....some if not most people, however, will actually not understand what the word temerity means so you might want to take that into consideration even if you like the sound of the word or if it fits better, not everyone like to look up what a word means XD :) I'm just a word nerd sometimes is all. So, there's my suggestions, hope they help :)
