Why can't I remember my memories especially my childhood?

Hi I'm 18 and I have trouble remembering memories they just come in bits, I won't remember what done yesterday and tend to forget what day it is. Welp :(

That's how it is for me and for others as well, so I believe it's normal. We can only remember so much and we tend to remember what's important to us. This also applies to my childhood memories.

Thats actually pretty normal. Most people are like that certain things you remember and certain things you don't.
It's actually a good thing because if we remembered everything from every second of every day then we would need a brain the size of a car to store it all.
