In such low concentration of 1 × 10⁻³ M, H₂SO₄ completely ionizes :
H₂SO₄(aq) → 2H⁺(aq) + SO₄²⁻(aq)

[H⁺] = (1 × 10⁻³) × 2 = 2 × 10⁻³ M
pH = -log(2 × 10⁻³) = 2.7
